What is Love?
1 Corinthians 14:1 – Let love be your highest goal.
How many of you have found love? How many of you are married, have a boyfriend, or know the meaning of love? If the meaning of love has eluded
you, read carefully, “we love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19.) Hence, love is the readiness and willingness to die for one another. Moreover, love is not indecisive, nor is it impatient or fickle. Love should not taken for granted, such as the air we breathe. In fact, if oxygen were taken from the atmosphere would we exist? Therefore, love is the quintessential form of our existence. Love is what allows us to give and form charities. Love is the woman who keeps a man in check, despite his dispensation to run from emotion for fear of being vulnerable. Don’t you see, all this would not be possible if we weren’t given the ultimate example of love, which is Christ on the cross. So the next time you say “I love you”, ask yourself would I die for him/her. Love through Christ. Amen
