Live For The Future

Ecclesiastes 1:11 – We don’t remember what happened in the past, and in future generations, no one will remember what we’re doing now.

 Let’s say there are two individuals with opposite views on what to live for. One lives for the present, and the other lives for the future. Now if we live for the present the temporary gains are measured by the success in our lives. However, when the bottles are empty and  the dancing stops what happens next? All those empty feelings of unrestrained desires morph into a gaping  hole that can never be closed. Therefore, why not live for the future glory of Gods kingdom? Striving for excellence, and Christ  likeness.  You will stop and think about the consequences of your actions. You will serve others, before yourself.  It is there that the future will shine with the  brightness of a 1,000 suns.  Your mind will be consumed with being about the Fathers business. Finally, there your future will last  from NOW unto ETERNITY. Amen
