Let Your Questions Be Found In Gods Words
John 18:34 – “Jesus replied, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?”
Why did Jesus ask this question even though He already knew the answer? For Jesus never proclaimed himself “King of the Jews,” the Pharisees did. Hence, the question was rhetorical, for the Lord is omniscient and does not require a human reply. As humans we were created in Gods image, but we question the process to which we came into existence. We enjoy the beauty of the sun and stars, but seek to rationalize events and occurrences we truly do not understand. We seek answers to foggy areas of ambiguity, but lose ourselves in the process. So, like Job, why do we question Gods “wisdom with such ignorant words?” (Job 38:2). The answer is because we lack faith! Therefore, may our questions be founded in Gods words instead of our own. Amen
