Do What is Right
Micah 6:8 – No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
I’m drawing a blank… My mind can no longer comprehend your heavenly words. My actions can no longer bear the struggle of pulling in the favor of good, while evil grows stronger. My desires can no longer be held captive within the bars of this spirituality. Therefore, my request is simple. Please hold your mercy so my conscience can be uninhibited. For I no longer wish to be the passenger, but the driver controlling the steering wheel. Lord help us. We have been penetrated by selfish thoughts. We have abandoned the patience necessary to stay the course. We have found pleasure in wrong and have found contempt with what is right. We were made for so much more. Therefore, may we shun pride and welcome humility. For our walk is not our own, but a magnification of the principles God has set out for us. Amen
