Love Above All Else
1 Corinthians 16:24 – My love to all of you in Christ Jesus.
Here’s a moment of tranquility amidst a turbulent storm that occurred prior to Paul’s severe rebukes of the Corinthians. Despite their lack of morality or faith in Jesus, Paul ended this book by saying, “My love to all in Christ Jesus,” but why? However, the question is not why, but how? How can you love those that mock you? How can you love those who wish to tear you down? How can you love if your parents or lost loved ones have left your heart cold and emotionless, due to their passing or bickering? The answer is only through Jesus who loved usĀ first (1 John 4:19). This is the reason you can turn the other cheek, or feel love again, or delve deeply and madly in love with someone. Love is the quintessential form of God. So when walking through this life, seek love above all else, strive to give others hope, to which God will increase their faith, and lastly love through Gods grace, which is possible through any circumstance. Amen
