He Will Deliver What You Need

Isaiah 58:7 – “Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter? When you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?”

Give the Lord praise for he will deliver what you need.  These phrases are true and endearing; however, too many times we use them as a copout to defer the problem onto someone else.  What if God sent that individual to you because he knew you could handle their situation?  If someone cries for help, how is it possible to shut up the bowels of compassion for your sister or brother in Christ? Hence, we must stop living selfishly and use our resources God gave us to aid others in distress.  Then we are living like a servant, and then we are showing Christ who lives within us.  Some of you will hear this message and some of you will ignore the plea, but no one can say, “I didn’t know.” Therefore, be empathetic and stop uttering those cliché lines.  If God mimicked us, where would our lives be? (Matthew 7:12) Amen
