Beauty

Song of Solomon 4:7 – You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way. (NLT)

Beauty is more than just a visage reflected in a mirror. Beauty is the radiance exuded from a virtuous woman whose presence is a lighthouse for wayward ships. Beauty is the adoration seen through the eyes of a man who honors his companion. Beauty is chasing God together. When darkness comes, beauty cannot hide its face, because it takes the shape of a torch that illuminates our way. Beauty is found in God’s love even when our circumstances become unbearable. Beauty manifests itself in peace and happiness, for beauty is the rainbow after a storm. The presence of beauty is something to behold because it warms, which was once cold. It speaks to which was once mute. It calms, which was once disturbed.  In essence, beauty is patience marinated in obedience. Thus, may we look toward the beauty so many covet, for God is good. Amen
