What Is Security?

Job 31:24 “Have I put my trust in money or felt secure because of my gold?”

 
What is security? Is it abundant wealth? Is it the comfortableness of a large savings? Have you received a salary increase, or perhaps you are able to pay off all your bills… but what happened along the way?

Answer: our dependence on God has turned to independence through monetary gifts. See, before we prayed, went to church, and asked for help, while giving accordingly. Now we casually talk to God, attend sparingly, and are frugal when helping others. We forgot about where we started, so God reminds us. Thus, what He so giveth he so taketh away, (whether it be through taxes, car or home troubles) we are shown that we must rely on Him. In essence, when He brings us out of the depths of despair, our understanding and stewardship will take a new form in God, hence the Divine Banker, will bless us with riches untold. Amen
