Make His Beaten Tracks Straight!

Mark 1:3,4 3 A voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert], Prepare the way of the Lord, make His beaten tracks straight (level and passable)!
4 John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness (desert), preaching a baptism [obligating] repentance (a change of one’s mind for the better, heartily amending one’s ways, with abhorrence of his past sins) in order to obtain forgiveness of and release from sins.

I love this version! Many Christians grasp the concept of forgiveness, but this is not a ticket to continue a life of sin! Jesus came so that we would be free from sin, not so we can habitually practice it! I encourage you today to turn from sin and prepare ye the way of The Lord! There is much work yet to be done for the kingdom. Don’t waste your gifts and callings being bound by a life of sin!
